Last week from Thursday May 17th through to Saturday May 19th, top global executives of the “Leading Hotels of the World” group gathered at the Casa de Campo resort to celebrate their “2012 Sales, Marketing and Distribution Conference,” an excellent opportunity for those involved to expand their knowledge on the latest sales and marketing strategies, as well as taking a little time to enjoy everything the magnificent 7,000 acre Casa de Campo resort has to offer.

Amongst those in attendance at the conference were Mr.Ted Teng, President and CEO of The Leading Hotels of the World and Dr. Claudio Silvestri, CEO and President of Premier Resorts and Hotels, the management company for Casa de Campo, who played the gracious host for the event as well as sales representatives from The Leading Hotels of the World more than 400 member hotels and leading industry experts.

Whilst on the clock attendees attended various lectures and conferences in Casa de Campo’s 2 conference centers, including:

In the evenings, attendees were thrilled to experience the exotic rhythm of the Caribbean, enjoying cocktails at sunset, a beach party and the Dominican music and dance extravaganza – Kandela!

The following is an overview of the social events which took place on various evenings throughout the conference – many more photos and coverage will be published soon. [Thank you for your patience!]

Farewell Dinner and Dominican Extravaganza!

Undeniably the highlight of the 3 day event, the farewell dinner began with cocktails at the La Caña lounge and continued with a formal sit down dinner at the newly renovated Flamboyant conference centre, which as the night progressed became much less formal – with an impromptu singing performance by one of the attendees and the spectacular “Kandela!” Dominican music and dance show – which had everyone up and dancing long into the night!
