Casa de Campo Resort and Villas commemorated the independence of the Dominican Republic with a vibrant parade that traversed its premises, in an event full of color, tradition, and patriotic pride.

On Tuesday, February 27th, we commemorated the 180th anniversary of our National Independence, a festive day that honors our homeland and marks another year of achievements as a free, sovereign, and independent nation.

From early morning hours, the “casacultores” gathered in the parking lot of the polo field, adorned with decorations alluding to the Dominican national colors: red, white, and blue, waving fervently. Under the leadership of the Human Talent Management department of Casa de Campo and Costasur Casa de Campo, the parade became a spectacle filled with enthusiasm and commitment.

The music band and the stable of the Equestrian Center led the parade proudly carrying the Dominican flag alongside Casa de Campo’s ensign, followed by a set of golf carts adorned with iconic elements of Dominican culture and by dozens of collaborators. The route, which began at 9:30 in the morning, traversed the resort’s domains until reaching the central area of the hotel, where the celebration reached its climax.

Throughout the journey, the “casacultores” not only shared their enthusiasm with passersby but also gave Dominican flags to tourists and hotel visitors, thus spreading the patriotic spirit to every corner of Casa de Campo.

Rosario Velez, Manager of Human Talent Management at Casa de Campo, highlighted the importance of keeping this tradition alive, stating that “it is a way to remember the sacrifice of our patriots for the freedom of the Dominican Republic and to preserve the civic and patriotic values that are fundamental in these times.”

Juan Velázquez, Vice President and Administrator of Costasur Dominicana, expressed pride in representing Dominican identity to foreigners, emphasizing Casa de Campo’s commitment as a global reference in vacation and real estate tourism. “Casa de Campo is already a national brand,” he affirmed.

The Independence Day parade has become a prominent tradition at Casa de Campo, enthusiastically participated in by all resort and Costasur collaborators, becoming an emblematic event that strengthens the sense of identity and belonging to the Dominican Republic.
