Casa de Campo Resort & Villas launched its 50th-anniversary festivities with an unforgettable lineup of concerts and exclusive events from Oct. 24-27, 2024, in a celebration honoring five decades of luxury and heritage.
The anniversary kicked off with the “Fiesta Dorada” at Minitas Beach, a golden hour party featuring live music from Dominican artist Shalim Ortiz and his band 226 and DJ Oliver Holguín. High-tech fireworks and a dazzling drone show added to the opening night’s allure, setting the stage for a weekend filled with world-class entertainment.
On Friday, Oct. 25, the iconic Altos de Chavón amphitheater welcomed a star-studded lineup for the “Voices of Our Generation” concert series. Grammy-winning artist Richard Marx, known for “Right Here Waiting,” joined Puerto Rican singer Pedro Capó, Robin Wilson of Gin Blossoms, and Cheap Trick’s lead vocalist Robin Zander.
The celebration continued on Saturday with a diverse lineup, including three-time Grammy winner Jon Secada, who performed hits like “Angel” and “Just Another Day.” Taylor Dayne brought her powerhouse vocals to the stage with her classics, “Tell It to My Heart” and “Love Will Lead You Back,” while former Kansas frontman John Elefante and Colombian artist Llane rounded out the evening with a mix of rock and Latin urban hits. Both nights also featured The Crashers, a Louisville-based band that amped up the crowd with their high-energy opening and closing performances.
“Casa de Campo has been the pinnacle of luxury hospitality in the Dominican Republic,” said Jason Kycek, senior vice president of sales and marketing, in an official statement. “This milestone marks not only 50 years of luxury but also the start of a new chapter filled with extraordinary experiences that define our legacy.”
The weekend’s celebrations offered more than music. Golf enthusiasts took to Casa de Campo’s renowned courses with a special $50 rate and the chance to win a $50,000 hole-in-one prize on select holes, a nod to the resort’s legacy in championship golf.
The anniversary events garnered extensive media attention, including live broadcasts by Univision’s “El Gordo y La Flaca,” whose hosts toured the resort’s iconic locations. As Casa de Campo continues its celebrations throughout the year, guests can look forward to an upcoming December concert by Latin Grammy-winner Carlos Vives, coinciding with the launch of daily flights from Miami to La Romana by American Airlines, making the luxury destination even more accessible.
With this anniversary kickoff, Casa de Campo set a high bar for its golden year, celebrating past achievements while ushering in a new era of luxury and cultural offerings.
