During “La Temporada” (the crazy party week between December 26th and January 1st), the Marina Casa de Campo is one of the places to be seen – regardless of whether you’re young or slightly older…..
With so much fun, parties, events and occasions crammed into just one week, it wasn’t until Friday the 30th of December that we (Philip Silvestri and I) made it to the Marina Casa de Campo to check out the atmosphere, rub shoulders with the partying youngsters, enjoy the “pop-up DJ” (which no-one seems to know anything about) and to take some photos of course!

Casa de Campo villa owners, as well as visitors from Santo Domingo and overseas filled the Marina’s restaurants; Limoncello, Pepperoni, Chinois, Mistral and ‘Cafe Juanita’ for dining under the stars and a few chilled out drinks before the Marina Casa de Campo’s usually tranquilo Plaza Portofino was transformed into a huge outdoor nightclub – complete with DJ, satellite bars and several hundred merrymakers (among them Amaury Nolasco from Prison Break), who were all set on having a good time…..

Being slightly older and wiser than others partying in the Marina, we chose our preferred hang-out “La Enoteca” wine bar, as the perfect spot from which to enjoy the action. La Enoteca offers great service, a slightly more “grown-up” atmosphere, as well as the best prices, selection and quality in the Marina Casa de Campo, so why go anywhere else?
Of course we didn’t stay too late…..around 3.30am we headed home in preparation of the Palmillaso boat party the following day – leaving the younger crowd to continue the party in the Marina Casa de Campo and later (apparently) in Onno’s Bar in Altos de Chavón.
