Save the Date! Emilia and J.Pepe Fanjul cordially invite you to the 21st annual Cartier Benefit Cocktail and Dinner, to be celebrated on Saturday December the 29th, at Casa Grande in Casa de Campo, held in aid of the Fundación MIR and the Hogar del Niño.
The annual event, which has over the last 20 years raised more than US$2 million for the Fundación MIR and Hogar del Niño charities, once again promises Casa de Campo villa owners and guests a glamorous and entertaining evening at the Fanjul’s Casa de Campo estate, Casa Grande.
Although specific details of the prestigious gathering have not yet been released, we can be sure to expect the Cartier exhibit, an auction – both live and silent, accompanied by cocktails on the terrace and followed by a delicious dinner and dancing.
Last year, on the event’s 20th anniversary, more guests than ever before were welcomed into Casa Grande, where an estimated US$200,000 was raised and divided equally between the two local La Romana charities; the Fundación MIR and the Hogar del Niño, who both work to provide a better life and future for the children of La Romana.
The Fundación MIR is a non-profit organization which works to provide education to the children of the greater La Romana area, who are most in need. They run 3 schools; the MIR Esperanza (boys vocational school), the Escuela Tecnica Vocacional Fundación MIR (girls vocational school) and the Primaria MIR (infants school).
The Hogar del Niño is a children’s daycare and educational center for over 1500 children, located in La Romana town, just outside of Casa de Campo. Children from as young as just a few weeks old up to 18 years old are cared for and educated daily, from as early as 5:30am and staying as late as 7pm.
