Bienvenue Carrefour!! We are thrilled to announce that the new Carrefour in Altos de Chavón is now open!! The grand opening (photos coming soon) officially took place on Saturday evening the 1st of December, and is now open daily from 9am – 9pm!
This opening could not come at a better time – as the holiday season quickly approaches, our appetites are unleashed and the gift buying season is in full force!! Welcome Carrefour – we are overjoyed to have you!
Carrefour, the #1 leading superstore in Europe and #2 worldwide, (Walmart leading) has literally just opened 2 “mini-stores”, located in Altos de Chavón and in reality there is nothing mini about them! Taking over no less than 5 commercial spaces in a marketplace-style setting, this is definitely a one-stop shop for your household and kitchen essentials – and non-essentials for that matter!
During my exclusive behind the scenes tour, with both my personal lunchtime clock ticking and my growling stomach, the abundant food, drink and wine options made me unbearably hungry; everything just looked so appetising! I was overwhelmed by the vast selection and had no idea where to even begin looking! Every aisle and every corner has something to offer and so many things I wanted; with so much to choose from I didn’t know where to start…but the champagnes and fine French wines certainly caught my eye…..
In store at the new Carrefour you’ll find a huge variety of liquors, Christmas gifts, cleaning products, dry foods, fresh produce (fruits and vegetables etc) and even household items. As well as plants and flowers – including Flores Pascuas (Poinsettias) just in time for the merry holiday season!
