On Tuesday February 24th Carnival Cruise Lines, recognized the Tour Operation Department of the La Romana Port as the “Caribbean’s Leading Tour Operator”, during a ceremony held aboard the cruise ship Carnival Conquest.
The recognition plaque was delivered by the captain of the cruise ship, Claudio Cupisti, and gave recognized the Tour Operation Department of Central Romana as one of the Caribbean’s Leading Tour Operators. “This is just recognition to the quality and the excellent performance and assessment of the tours program that Central Romana operates for the Carnival passengers,” said Captain Cupisti as he presentedthe plaque and certificate.
For their part, representatives of La Romana Port, headed by the Port Director, Luis Emilio Rodriguez, expressed the importance of this special recognition. “Carnival Cruise Lines is a symbolic line for our port, as it was the first who trusted the quality of La Romana enough to bring cruises here a year round. In the last four years of the continuous arrivals of the Carnival Cruise ships has contributed significantly to the development of tourism in the area, and and has generated a very important economic impact on the La Romana community,” said Luis Emilio Rodriguez, Director of La Romana Port.
