AFICHE CARNAVAL 2010

Tomorrow Sunday the 28th of February the streets of La Romana will come alive with music, dancing and the banging of drums as the La Romana Carnaval ‘Gran Desfile’ marches it’s way through the streets of La Romana.

The ‘Gran Desfile’ or big parade will begin at 3pm and will weave it’s way around the streets of La Romana – taking the route shown the on diagram above. This year 20 different ‘comparsas locales’ or ‘parade groups’ (very rough translation) are taking part – so expect literally hundreds of people, amazing costumes and come prepared to have a lot of fun!

And don’t forget Casa de Campo Living is hosting it’s very own CARNAVAL in the Marina Casa de Campo; TONIGHT from 7pm-11pm! Everyone is welcome, for more information click here.

Ricardo Bello has created a Facebook event for the Carnaval which has over 300 confirmed guests, to confirm your attendance, click here to visit the Facebook page.

Here Ricardo Bello describes the event in his own words: (description taken from his Facebook event)
