What is there to say about the Carlos Santana concert? It was frickin INCREDIBLE! If you missed this concert, you missed one of the most energetic, entertaining, jam-packed and most thoroughly enjoyable concerts in Altos de Chavon history! The concert, part of the Live your Light (Vive tu Luz) tour, was nothing less than spectacular and a impressive feat of showmanship. The amphitheater was packed with an audience of well over 5,000 fans, yet at no point did it feel excessively crowded. With incense burning on-stage, as soon a you arrived you knew this would not be your average concert!
With over three non-stop hours of music the show was a testament to the skills of a real artist, with a tremendous ability to make his instruments sing or wail with a fever and power like no other. Passionate fans applauded and grooved to the sounds of classics like ‘Black Magic Woman’, ‘No One to Depend On’, ‘Oye Como Va’ as well as his most recent hits – soon to become classics ‘Corazon Espinado’, ‘Smooth’ and ‘Maria Maria’ which had the crowd roaring “VIVA CARLOS SANTANA!” We can honestly say we are lucky to have witnessed the ‘Maestro’, Carlos Santana in Altos de Chavon!
