Café de la Leche events always combine great friends and food in afternoon get-togethers all in the name of charity, and this next one on August 12th with Malele Strofer is no different, except for some added spunk. Under the theme “Ojalá Victoria,” guests are encouraged to embrace their inner Victoria Secret angel!

Malele, who’s very creative and partner in TRES Coordinacion y Decoracion de Eventos along with Amelia Pereyra and Sarah Troncoso, providing event planning and decoration for many lucky couples that marry in Casa de Campo, wanted to do something different. She says everyone is beautiful regardless of age or size and inner beauty speaks volumes. She chose Rebel Wilson for this month’s Café de la Leche flyer because she loved Rebel’s positive attitude on body image when she showed up in a studded bra and black leather pants with Victoria Secret wings to the 2015 MTV music awards. At the event, Rebel encouraged women to “Think,” and that what’s most important is what is in their minds.

Next Friday’s Café de la Leche upholds this ideal and wants all attendees to bring their own wings! Buy them or make them (but it’s WAY more fun to make! says Malele) because there’s going to be a fashion contest!! Malele goes on to say, “Those who give back to society and bring support to the communities they live in are even more beautiful, and we are all angels in body and soul.” Café de la Leche collects milk for the crib room of the Hogar del Niño and asks that you bring 1,800 grams of Milex Kinder, Gold, NAN, Enfamil, Alacta Plus, Nido Crecimiento or RD $1,200, which helps supply more than 60% of the milk used in the crib rooms each month. As they prepare more than 800 bottles per day, your Café de la Leche contributions go a long way!
