The British Chamber of Commerce (BRITCHAM) will be hosting the sixth edition of the Royal Polo Cup on March 3rd, in memory of the late renowned polo player and entrepreneur William J. Reid Baquero, with the visit of the Ambassadors of the United Kingdom of Great Britain in the country, HM Chris Campbell and HM Sharon Campbell, as well as Mr. Reid Baquero family as guests of honor.

The classic tournament, which features a rotating cup in which all tournament winners are engraved, will be held at the exclusive Casa de Campo polo court in La Romana. Jose A. Rodriguez, BRITCHAM president, and Francesca Ortiz executive director gave details of the event explaining that this time they will have the presence of international players who have won major championships such as the British Polo Open and the Queen’s Cup, making this tournament an exceptional one that Dominicans cannot miss. Francesca Ortiz also stated that within the program of activities are will be a horse training exhibition endorsed by the Dominican Equestrian Federation, a special halftime toast by the participating sponsors, and a polo after party with a live band. “It will be an event for the whole family following the British style, and full of surprises” she added.

During the activity, there will be a silent auction of works of arts, sporting goods, including luxury items, as a fundraising effort to benefit the education of children and teens from low income families.
The sixth version of the British Polo Cup will take place with the sponsorship and support of Air Lift Group, DeCamps & Vásquez Valera, Primma Securities, Reid & Co., Banco del Progreso, Comercializadora Rierba, Hackett, among others.
