Recipe! Brighten your day with a Tropical Paradise Juice

papaya smoothieAs we mentioned last week, juicing has become the new health craze in Casa de Campo, so for those of you wanting to give it a try at home, here we bring you a GREAT recipe!

We are in paradise in Casa de Campo, so why not try making a TROPICAL PARADISE JUICE at home!

This is the perfect way to brighten your morning, with a juice blend that is easy on the digestive system and gently loosens any build up that may have occurred while the body was at rest. It’s also made will ingredients that can be found locally which means your juice will be as fresh as it can get.

INGREDIENTS:

1 medium ripe papaya, peeled, seeded, and sliced
1 small pineapple, peeled, cored, and sliced
1 (1-in.) piece peeled fresh ginger
1 small lime, peeled and halved
1.5 cups fresh young coconut water (stir in after juicing)

DIRECTIONS:

Stick the first 4 ingredients in your juicer and then stir in the fresh coconut water. Drink up to get your morning started off right!

Don’t have a juicer, no problem!

 

Juicers automatically separate the juice from the pulp in a pulp bin. By making your juice in a blender, however, you have the choice of drinking your juice pulp-free or retaining some pulp, which adds fiber, helping to stabilize blood glucose and make you feel full longer.

Separate the juice from the pulp by pouring it through a mesh strainer or cheesecloth- if you want pure juice -and then discard the pulp. Serve your juice immediately or store it in the refrigerator in an airtight container for no longer than 24 hours.
