We have bad news for Yanni fans – the Yanni concert has been postponed! The Yanni concert was due to take place this Saturday the 13th of November at the Altos de Chavon amphitheater. (En Español debajo.)

The concert being organized by Saymon Diaz concerts is being postponed for a date in 2011, which will be announced at some point in the future.

So why was the concert postponed?
To be honest we’re not exactly sure why! From the press release (below), we understand that the postponement has been made for reasons “that escape the artist” (so it’s not Yanni’s fault). Elsewhere in the press release it is implied, that it has been postponed due to the bad weather of the last few days -” the atmospheric conditions that have affected the country lately” and predicted bad weather for this weekend (so it’s not the organizers fault.)

Regardless of why, the concert will not go ahead on Saturday – if you have already purchased your tickets, you are of course entitled to a full refund – which will be available from wherever you bought your tickets from – after Dec 2. Although if you have plans to leave CDC (or the country) BEFORE this date, we are sure arrangements can be made to reimbuirse you sooner – please contact the Casa de Campo concierge.

Kenny G?
Saymon Diaz concerts doesn’t seem to have much luck in November – last November (nearly exactly a year ago), the Kenny G concert was also postponed until a later date in 2010 (not yet announced), with the reason given being “the current world economic crisis.”

YANNI POSTPONED FOR 2011

SD CONCERTS announce the postponement of the Yanni show programmed for next saturday 13 on Altos de Chavon, for reason’s that escape the promoting company and the artist.

SD CONCERTS explain that they are in negotiation with Yanni’s representatives to coordinate a date for 2011, in order to avoid that the atmospheric conditions that have affected the country lately and that have been forecasted for the next couple of days.

Clients who have bought tickets for this concert can keep them for the future date which will be announced on the upcoming weeks through the media. Those who prefer reimbursement, can request it where the tickets were acquired after December 2nd. The process to get reimbursement will be announced shortly.

Concerto de Yanni sera en el 2011

SD Concerts anuncia la posposición del concierto de Yanni, programado para este sábado 11 de noviembre en el anfiteatro Altos de Chavón, por razones ajenas su voluntad y del el artista.

SD Concerts explican que están en conversaciones con los representantes de Yanni para gestionar una futura reprogramación de este concierto para el 2011, con miras a ser presentado en una epoca donde las condiciones atmosfericas que se vienen dando en los ultimos dias y que se ha pronosticado para los proximos dias no afecten la presentacion del mismo.

Las personas que hayan adquirido entradas para este concierto pueden conservar sus entradas para la próxima fecha que será dada a conocer próximamente a través de los medios de comunicación locales o si prefieren sus reembolsos, pueden dirigirse o contactar a partir del 2 de diciembre los puntos de ventas donde fueron adquiridas los cuales indicaran el procedimiento para realizar el reembolso del boleto comprado.
