UPDATE: We have just heard that this Café de la Leche will indeed take place at Minitas Beach, as soon as we hear more we will let you know!
Who doesn’t LOVE a beach party!? Well great news my friends, the next Café de la Leche is set to take place just steps away from Minitas Beach – at the Beach Apartments at Minitas Beach! So come one, come all and let’s have some fun in the sun for a good cause!
Taking place next Friday July 10th, this edition of the Café de la Leche is being hosted by the Casa de Campo Hotel in conjunction with TRES EVENTOS, and will be celebrated from 5pm – 7pm at Minitas Beach. Beach Apartment 1 (virtually opposite the entrance to Minitas Beach).
So what can we expect?
Well when an event is hosted by Casa de Campo, the Dominican Republic’s top resort, and in conjunction with TRES EVENTOS, quiet possibly the Dominican Republic’s top party planners (owned by Casa de Campo villa owners Olivette Malele Strofer, Sarah Troncoso and Amelia Pereya)… we can be sure to expect AWESOMENESS.
And in addition to awesomeness, we’ll be enjoying a beautiful view and vibe, cocktails, nibbles, good conversation and basking in the sun!
Café de la Leche… what is that?
While many of you already know what the Café de la Leche is (after all it’s been a monthly Casa de Campo tradition for almost 15 years), for those of you who are clueless to this fun charitable gathering, here’s a quick overview:
The Café de la Leche is a monthly gathering hosted by a member of the Casa de Campo community in aid of the Hogar del Nino, the Dominican Republic’s most comprehensive education and daycare center – based here in La Romana. The aim of the celebration is to gather milk donations for the more than 200 babies of the “Sala cuna” (crib room) at the Hogar del Nino.
During the Café de la Leche, the ladies of the community get together and enjoy a drink and a bite to eat.
Of course the best way to understand what it is is by taking part… so we hope to see you there on Friday July 10th!
