What a wonderful start to the holiday season in Casa de Campo – the “Raymonda” ballet presentation at the Altos de Chavón Amphitheater, last Saturday the 7th of December!
“Raymonda” ballet presentation by the “Academia de Ballet Elizabeth Zeller” (Ballet Academy) was a fabulous success, that showcased the blossoming talent of these young students.
Each elegant and well-structured piece, performed by students of all ages from the teeny-tiny ones to those who have been learning ballet for more than 20 years, were greatly admired by the enthusiastic audience.
The night, which was in fact rather chilly (take note for the ballet this Saturday also in the amphitheater) was full of spectators, most of them parents and friends of the students that attended to support them, whilst cheering and taking pictures of the performances.
Looking absolutely gorgeous in their sparkly “tutus”, “costumes” which varied depending on the piece they were dancing, the girls put on an amazing show not only for their parents, but also to the many visitors and residents of the Casa de Campo community, who all seemed to love the presentation!
A great success for all involved, especially with such great attendance meaning that a good sum was raised for the “Hogar de Ancianos Padre Abreu”, an old persons home in La Romana.
