The 22nd annual Magical Splendor for Life gala by the Fundación MIR will this year take place on Saturday evening the 19th of January at Casa Grande and will be hosted for the first time by Alfy and Raysa Fanjul. The event, certainly one of the most glamorous of the Casa de Campo calendar, aims to raise funds for the continued growth and improvement of the Fundación MIR schools, which currently educate more than 1,500 children in the local La Romana area.
Taking part in the event for the 3rd consecutive year are designers Badgley Mischka who will be showcasing their Spring 2013 collection with sportswear, day and evening dresses on the runway during the gala event, as well as at their exclusive “Pop-Up” fashion boutique – giving you the exclusive opportunity to purchase an outfit (or several) from these designers whose skill for flattering the feminine form has made them a favorite among celebrities – especially for red carpet events.
The only other Badgley Mischka boutiques in the world can be found in Palm Beach and Beverly Hills – making this a very special opportunity to shop Badgley Mischka, and with a wide variety there is something to suit everyone. Tops are priced between US$295 and US$495, bottoms from US$295 up to US$495, day and cocktail dresses between US$300 and US$700 and formal gowns from US$595 to US$1000.

The Fundación MIR Magical Splendor for Life 2012
The 21st annual Magical Splendor for Life fundraising weekend took place on Friday and Saturday the 27th and 28th of January with a fabulous gala and fashion show by Badgley Mischka, a golf tournament and exclusive VIP dinner.
The Fundación MIR is a non-profit organization which works to provide education to the children of the greater La Romana area, who are most in need. They run 3 schools; the MIR Esperanza (boys vocational school), the Escuela Tecnica Vocacional Fundación MIR (girls vocational school) and the Primaria MIR (infants school).
