Every few months Azimut Cafe treats us to a fantastic Sunset Jazz Night at the Marina Casa de Campo. We had announced its next edition for Thursday March 24th, but as this is the beginning of a very busy Easter Break they have postponed to April 23rd.
For this new edition we will also be able to enjoy the incredible photographs of the artist Mary Rosa Jimenez, born in Lima, Peru. Her father is Dominican and her mother English. She has worked as a photographer and reporter in Paris, Guatemala and here in the Dominican Republic. She has an incredible eye to capture beauty in what most consider ordinary things, with her favorite themes being reflections captured on shop windows, glass or rain.
This time around she will be presenting a collection with a marina theme of boats, water, sails, and more. Her painting, “Marina” is pictured to the right. To learn more about Mary, visit her Facebook page and her website.
