What is Arte Naive? haitian art “Arte Naïve” is one of the most intense and naive expressions of art in which the artist expresses their most heart felt experiences and realities, a raw, real-life artists expression if you like. This artesanal exhibition included splendid art work from Dominican artists, such as José Levy, Adalberto Noble, Thomás López , Tulio Quirico and Haitian artists such as Magda Maglorrie, Gerald Fortune, Payas, among others. The “Arte Naive” art exhibit and cocktail, organized by Jenny Polanco in aid of the Hogar del Niño, was developed in the style of the Café de la Leche event – so that many guests contributed with tins of milk for the more than 200 babies, cared for daily at the Hogar del Niño.
