Yesterday afternoon, Thursday April 2nd, Andrea Bocelli jetted into Casa de Campo arriving at the Casa de Campo – La Romana Airport.
Excited to have the star land on Dominican soil for his grand performance this Saturday April 4th at 8pm at the Altos de Chavon amphitheater, Rafael Torres President Casa de Campo and Daniel Hernandez, general manager of the Casa de Campo hotel greeted him on the tarmac.
After settling into his luxury Casa de Campo accommodations, Andrea Bocelli then headed over to the Marina Casa de Campo to attend the Sunset Jazz Night at the Azimut Cafe. Mr Bocelli who owns an Azimut yacht received a warm welcome to the event from Mauro Caslini and his daughter Alice Caslini de Moriconi of IBI Yachts, representatives of AZIMUT in the Caribbean.
On this occasion, the Sunset Jazz Night was sponsored by SILGON, Veuve Clicquot and Chivas 18, and served as a pre-celebration for the finals of the Casa de Campo Copa Semana Santa polo tournament taking place this Saturday April 4th. Including a full day of events and activities starting with the red carpet opening at 11am, the celebration is the most prestigious polo tournament in the Dominican Republic.

Andrea Bocelli is certainly making the most out of his stay in Casa de Campo – we just saw him at the Casa de Campo equestrian center where he admired the polo ponies with Casa de Campo Director of Polo Calixto Garcia-Velez, and even went for a ride.
So will we see him at the finals of the Casa de Campo Copa Semana Santa polo tournament? Well he is of course very cordially invited and with preparations for the concert happening in the afternoon, our sources say we may well expect him to pay us a visit early on. So in case the free beer, brunch and red carpet opening at 11am wasn’t enough of an excuse to arrive early maybe Andrea Bocelli is!
