museo altos de chavon As part of the numerous holiday celebrations in Casa de Campo, the Altos de Chavon Regional Archaeological Museum invited Casa de Campo’s little ones to participate in a fun contest where they had the opportunity to learn and color a fabulous booklet that tells the story of a Dominican prehistoric Christmas – AND to celebrate the wonderful results provided by these talented boys and girls, a prize-giving ceremony was celebrated in the beautiful gardens of the Altos de Chavon Regional Archaeological Museum! prize givingThe refreshing breeze and the Caribbean sun were the perfect combination to enjoy a wonderful occasion in the midst of a tropical garden! It was in the Altos de Chavon Regional Archaeological Museum where numerous Casa de Campo little ones and their proud mummies and daddies gathered to enjoy a fun prize-giving ceremony celebrated to announce the winners of the “Color and Learn” contest created by the foundation. The contest that was announced in the first week of January 2013, was celebrated with the aim of encouraging the community to take part in the numerous cultural activities created by the museum – this one being a fabulous occasion to spend some quality time with the family and the little ones in Casa, as they colored and learned together about the Dominican Christmas stories told in this unique booklet! The fun afternoon started with a delicious picnic in the museum’s garden, with picaderas specially prepared for the talented boys and girls – where they also spent some quality time with the judges (most of them part of the Altos de Chavon School of Art and Design). Soon, the most awaited moment arrived… and the winners were  announced…

prize giving Here we share the complete list of the happy winners, who apart from receiving their trophies, were also awarded with portfolios, canvas, paint brushes, color pencils and many other elements that will contribute to develop their unique talent – AND may we also add that all of them received certificates to spend a fun day in Casa de Campo’s Kidz n’ Casa program!
