Did you know? Popular Casa de Campo villa owner and community member, Ana Grande has opened a fabulous fashion boutique at the La Romana Country Club and with most the clothing, accessories and gift items priced at under US$100 – it’s one of the most affordable and funky places to shop in the Casa de Campo resort!
Having got to know Ana and her inspired fashion ideas at Casa de Campo events over the last few years, when we heard she had opened a fashion store – we were thrilled, knowing it would be bursting with a variety of fresh and fashionable clothing pieces especially selected by Ana to suit the fashion requirements of our many Casa de Campo social engagements – and that is exactly what she has achieved!
So here we bring you a brief interview with Ana to help us get to know Cabana, Ana’s new fashion boutique, a little better!
@cdcliving: What inspired you to open a fashion store in Casa de Campo?
Ana: I have spent approximately 3-4 months out of the year for the past 10 years in Casa de Campo and I was always frustrated that I found very few options to buy clothes or accessories at reasonable prices. Also, when invited to a dinner party I was having difficulty finding appropriate and affordable hostess gifts. I also stock tabletop accessories, such as placemats, cocktail napkins and other home gifts like picture frames, because again, I found the options in Casa de Campo were very limited.

@cdcliving: What type of clothing do you sell in Cabana?
Ana: I sell a range of ladies contemporary clothing: dresses, maxi dresses, rompers, jumpsuits, tops, shorts, pants and beachwear that can be converted into street clothes, as well as costume jewelry, purses and other accessories such as wraps. Rules of dressing have changed, clothes are much more flexible now – you may have a poncho top or tunic that looks great with skinny jeans and often you can use the same piece as a cover-up when going to the beach or out on the boat. I try to focus on versatile pieces that travel well and are most flattering to all shapes, sizes and ages. I also carry basics such as T-shirts and skinny jeans in all colors.
@cdcliving: How do you select the clothes you stock?
Ana: I try to have a variety in store at any given time, I stock about 300 pieces at the store, and I keep an additional inventory at my Casa de Campo villa – this means I am constantly switching things out.
@cdcliving: Every time we visit the store we find something new! How do you keep your stock so fresh?
Ana: I send shipments of clothing and accessories every month to replenish what has been sold and to keep up with current fashions. Current hot items are skinny jeans in all colors paired with bright t-shirts and printed palazzo pants with flowy tops.
@cdcliving: What is the average price range?
Ana: Most of the items are under US$100.
@cdcliving: How would you describe your average Casa de Campo client?
Ana: As I stock a huge variety of different clothing there is something for women of every age: caftans, tunics and accessories for the mature ladies and shorts, t-shirts and fitted dresses for teenagers and young ladies, as well as everything in between, but I would say my “average” client is fashionably chic and modern, a woman who travels often, but is conscious of obtaining good value for money.
