On Thursday 24th of January, 2013, the Altos de Chavon Foundation celebrated the opening of the new art exhibit “2Aquiles Energetic Synergy”, a fabulous collection of art work presented by two wonderful Dominican artists – who in the midst of the cocktail reception, interacted with the curious attendees in the Altos de Chavon main art gallery.
The quiet night suddenly became a quite enjoyable evening, when Casa de Campo villa owners, residents, visitors and also, students from the Altos de Chavón School of Art and Design, showed up to enjoy the magnificient pieces of art created by talented Dominican artists Aquiles Azar García (father), and his son Aquiles Azar Billini – two unique styles combined in more than 13 master pieces.

Unlike most of the art exhibits which are presented by more than one artist, where each one presents their own paintings and drawings, this art exhibit only included paintings created by both Dominican artists. Although Billini did not speak a lot, his words were definitely of interest to the great fans – undoubtedly, an ocassion where took advantage of the opportunity to get to know the artists and their master pieces! If you missed the exhibit opening don’t worry you still have plenty of time to enjoy it – “2Aquiles Sinergia Enérgica”, will be open in the Altos de Chavon art gallery until February he 25th. The galle is open daily, 9am to 6pm, but closed on Wednesdays. The following collection of photos were taken during the opening cocktail on Thursday he 25th of February:“Each and every single one of these paintings were created by us. We worked on each of them together” — Aquiles Azar Billini, Dominican artist
