acana glulamIn 1985, Marcos Isaac started his working life as a Management Trainee in Casa de Campo, and now, Marcos returns to Casa de Campo not only as a villa owner, but also as a business owner launching his company; ACANA GLULAM in the Dominican Republic.  ACANA GLULAM, a dominican company founded by Marcos Isaac in conjunction with Arq Fernando Caramés, the co-owner of Caramés Seoane, the first Spanish company to offer the design, manufacture and assembly of GLULAM (glued laminated timber), an engineered wood product created by bonding together individual pieces of lumber, which can be shaped into forms ranging from straight beams to complex curved members, and used in headers, floor girders, and ridge beams – making the product a dream for creative architects who long to create solid, unique and above all magnificent structures. It is also fire resistant and extremely durable – the very first GLULAM structures were built in Britain in the 1800’s – and they’re still there today! acana glulam Today, ACANA GLULAM, with their more than 30 years experience, create roofing – suitable for outside terraces, public pavilions and even entire roofs for villas, factories, commercial buildings and sports venues, as well as pedestrian walkways and bridges – in fact ACANA GLULAM can create almost anything! Having launched in the Dominican Republic this year – with their first structure erected in Santiago de los Caballeros (pictured right), ACANA GLULAM is keen to expand and start creating even more fabulous structures across the entire country.
