altos de chavon school of designOn Saturday the 13th of May the graduating class of the Altos de Chavón School of Art and Design opened their “End of Year” art exhibit at the Altos de Chavón art gallery, where they proudly showcased their year’s work to their friends, family and the art aficionados of the Casa de Campo community. For the graduating class of 2012 the celebrations began at their official graduation celebration held earlier that same day at Casa de Campo’s newly renovated Flamboyant Conference Centre, where the 49 graduating students received their diplomas. “The graduating class of the Fine Arts/Illustration Department has demonstrated a superior level of intellectual and technical prowess in their work. They have stood out as a group of strong, creative and independent thinkers that I will miss tremendously. I wish them all a future where they continue to shine through their extraordinary talents and live the conviction that everything is possible.” – Raul Miyar, Chair of Fine Arts at the Altos de Chavón School of Art and Design
altos de chavon school of art and design On display at the “End of Year” art exhibit was not only an incredible collection of art work (paintings and sculptures) but also fashion as well as design  – a fact which always surprises visitors, who often do not release that the school offers courses in Fine Arts/Illustration, but also Fashion Design and Graphic Design, all 2 year two-year programs leading to the degree of Associate in Applied Science. The excellent quality and variety exhibited is a testament to the outstanding talent of the students (who have now graduated), but also to the exceptional teaching and quality of education provided at the Altos de Chavón School of Art and Design.
