On Thursday December 18th, the Altos Chavon Cultural Center Foundation celebrated the opening of “Holistic”, an art exhibit presented by a talented group of former students of the Altos de Chavón School of Design.
Holistic is a collaboration between Joao Rodriguez who was the winner of fifth place in the poster competition of the National Carnival Parade in 2013; George Heigsen, a selected artist of the “III Bienal de Bonao Premio Paleta de Níquel” and Yoel Bordas, who was the winner of the Patricia Phelps Cisneros Prize at the 24th Bienal del Centro León in 2012.
In attendance at the event were the artists themselves, as well as director of the Altos de Chavón gallery, Martha Victoria, and many members of the Casa de Campo and La Romana community, who enjoyed a magical evening with cocktails, jazz and of course art.
Holistic art exhibition will be open to the public at The Gallery in Altos de Chavón until January 26th, 2015, The Gallery is open every day from 9am to 5pm, but is closed Wednesdays.
