Before heading to Casa de Campo, Akon performed in the Dominican Republic’s capital city, Santo Domingo, at the Kartodromo Julian Barcelo. More than 6,000 fans packed into the venue and enjoyed an incredible concert, which included Akon’s most famous hits “We Taking Over”, “Lonely”, “Smack That”, “I Want To Love You”, an appearance from Omega, not to mention the moment AKON “crowd surfed” in a giant inflatable ball.
Following the concert, which ended in the early hours of Sunday the 26th of September, Akon hosted a private party at an undisclosed location in Santo Domingo, where the party continued with many VIP guests from Casa de Campo and Santo Domingo.

On Sunday the 26th of September, Akon arrived in the Casa de Campo resort, La Romana accompanied by Omega and some members of his crew. In Casa de Campo Akon stayed in a private Casa de Campo villa is the Barranca area of Casa de Campo.

Akon was in Casa de Campo shooting footage for a new music video for “El Producto” with Omega. We believe (although this has not been confirmed), that the footage for the video was shot within the private Casa de Campo villa, where he was staying.
Sadly Akon, Omega and his crew were too busy filming to really enjoy Casa de Campo, as far as we know they were unable to visit Altos de Chavón, the Marina Casa de Campo or any of our famous Pete Dye designed golf courses, the Teeth of the Dog and Dye Fore! What a shame! Mr Akon – we hope you come back soon so you can really enjoy and experience Casa de Campo!
After a brief stay in Casa de Campo, Akon left on Tuesday the 28th of September, however before his departure, he did have time to enjoy a little Dominican culture – taking time out from filming to eat Sancocho (a typical Dominican stew) and drink ‘Refresco Rojo’ (a red colored fizzy drink!).
