On Thursday March 19th, between the hours of 6am to 6pm, there will be a general public transportation strike (or huelga) on the eastern region of the country, which will include the citys of La Romana, Punta Cana, Bavaro, Bayahibe, among others. If you run a business in La Romana or Casa de Campo, or have employees that may be affected, please keep this in mind as some delays may occur. As usual, we expect that the strike will be peaceful and uneventful.
Nevertheless, if you do not need to travel into La Romana, or travel within the eastern region of the country, we would recommend spending your time enjoying any of the plentiful activities available within the resort.
