Sparkling Tips EnglishSome of our Casa de Campo ladies have been asking us if there would be a ladies version of the Fashion Tips for Casa Gents weekly column that we introduced last week. Since your wish is our command, we would like to formally introduce our new weekly column, Sparkling Tips for Casa Ladies!

For this weekly column we have the pleasure of introducing our guest author, Clarlin Rivera, who you may remember from our article a few weeks ago, Clarlin Rivera Fashion Show and Store opening. Not only is Clarlin a fantastic silversmith and makes one of a kind jewellery that is more like contemporary artwork, she was also trained in Fashion Styling and Color in Brussels! With this weekly column she will share with us trends, Do’s and Don’ts and general tips for accessorising correctly for every occasion.

Without further ado, we hope you enjoy her first piece for Accessorising this Summer:

Jewelry tips by Clarlin Rivera

Summer is here, and we know it’s the season where we all bloom and want to look our best. Which is why we can’t forget how important jewels are to complient a look. This summer brings us such a flamboyant and eccentric style that it reminds us of the 70’s, since we can use a mix up a great number of pieces together no matter the size, style or characteristics. That’s why I bring you the top three jewellery trends for you to look the best this Summer 2015:

1. Oversized Jewels

CR Oversized EarringWe have been using them for a few seasons and this summer is no exception. Big earrings in different shapes, individual and ear cuff earrings are in stlye this summer. Giant bracelets in silver, gold, leather, cloth or plastic are used in layers whether they have the same or different shapes. To create a striking effect you can carry two identical bracelets on one hand or a bracelet on each one. If you’re into necklaces, this summer you have “carte blanche” and the neck should be the center of attention, so feel free to wear all kinds of pendants and beads in necklaces and chokers.

2. Minimalism

IMG_6430The important thing here is to wear pieces with a clean design and simple shapes. We can also highlight the use of natural materials such as wood and leather. Don’t limit yourself to wear just one piece by the word “minimalist”, if you want to wear more than one minimalist necklace or you want to mix it up with a giant one JUST DO IT! It’s all good!

3. Rings

The third, last, and one of my favorites, is to carry a lot of rings, wether they’re several rings in one hand or on each finger. Rings can be of different shapes and sizes, with or without stones. The choice is yours.

All that said, the only thing left now is to enjoy this summer in a fashionable way!
