On Saturday the 5th of December, the Elizabeth de Zeller Academia de Ballet, will be presenting their annual ballet show at the Altos de Chavon Amphitheater. This year’s show “Recorriendo el Mundo” (Travelling the World) is being directed by Ivonne Zeller, daughter of Elizabeth de Zeller, who is currently managing the Ballet Academy.

The annual show, traditionally presented every year in May, was rescheduled after the passing of Elizabeth de Zeller, or Tia Eli, as most her friends and many students loved to call her; and will be performed this upcoming month in her honor.

The Academia de Ballet was founded by Tia Eli more than 40 years ago in La Romana Town, originally named The Magda Corbet Ballet Academy in memory of Elizabeth de Zeller’s longtime admired mentor, today with over 100 students with ages starting at 3 years old they will be celebrating their 18th function at the Altos de Chavon Amphitheater.

This event will benefit the “Hogar de Ancianos Padre Abreu” (home for the elderly) and it will be a magnificent opportunity for kids and adults to enjoy the talents of these hometown girls.

Tickets will be on sale at the Altos de Chavon Amphitheater box office on the day of the event and will also be sold in advance by the students.

Ticket prices are RD$150.00 p/p. If you need further information you may call 809-523-2424.
