Last Friday the 25th of November, the Elizabeth Zeller Ballet Academy kick-started the Christmas celebrations with a “Christmas Fantasy” ballet performance at the Altos de Chavón amphitheater.
Multi-coloured lights, as well as the smiles and enthusiasm of these talented dancers and their families, brought life to Altos de Chavon’s Amphiteater!
The Ballet performance, directed by Ivonne Zeller, started at 7:45pm, when the lovely ‘ballerinas’ danced to classic Christmas Carols, in order to raise funds for the “Hogar de Ancianos Padre Abreu” (Elderly person’s home) in La Romana, a charity event which has been taking place for more than 40 years, since Elizabeth P. de Zeller (Tia Eli) founded the Ballet Academy.
With more than 10 selected routines, these girls surprised the audience with spectacular costumes; miniature snowmen, christmas trees, soldiers, as well as of course, their undeniable talent and excellent dancing skills and discipline.
For those of you who may have forgotten that these girls live in a tropical country, they definitely showed some moves and added some spice to the evening when they danced to the popular songs of “Danza Kuduro”, “Bon Bon” and ” Ven Conmigo” – when many fans and families in the crowd also joined the girls!
Well done girls! Congratulations to each and every single one of you!
