This November’s event will be the first polo tournament for women played in the Dominican Republic and it will be an international qualifying tournament, too – attracting some of the sports top female competitors. All players will be rated since the match will serve as a World Class Tour qualifying event.
Tania Evans, the organizer qualifies the sport as “Very intense, which is what makes the sport so attractive to both men and women. You have to have strong arms, legs, back muscles. You need to ride a few years before you can safely play. It’s an exhilarating sport and great to watch, too.”
For all of us spectators and horse lovers, matches will be played in the afternoons until dusk, and we all know the great time everyone has at the main tent and bleachers. Don’t forget to drop by and enjoy few drinks, snacks will also be served during each match.
