Every Monday afternoon from 3pm to 7pm, the tranquil artist’s village of Altos de Chavón in Casa de Campo is magically transformed with a “Dominican Extravaganza”, an interactive show with wild traditional Dominican costumes, music dancing, a street parade and ending with the Kandela! dancing show in the Altos de Chavón amphitheater.
Designed and orchestrated for the tourists visiting Altos de Chavón from the Costa Luminosa cruise ship, docked in La Romana every Monday, the “Dominican Extravaganza” is lively, fun and even a little educational. The Dominican Extravaganza is completely free and regardless of whether or not you’re a tourist – we’re sure you’ll love it!
Also available every Monday are…..tours aboard the Costa Luminosa Cruise Ship (dinner, drinks, dancing and casino!)
