Live nativity scenes provide an unforgettable experience by sharing the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Every holiday season, the talented children of the Fundación MIR prepare a beautiful interpretation of the Christmas Story which they perform in Altos de Chavón as part of Casa de Campo’s holiday events. It is a wonderful occasion that reminds us of Christmas’s true meaning.

On Wednesday the 14th of December, a group of Casa de Campo villa owners, residents, and visitors enjoyed the beautiful rendition performed by the children of the Fundación MIR on the plaza in front of the church. Taking part in the lyrical show were children of all ages, from the Primaria MIR (infant school), the MIR Esperanza (the boys’ school) and the Politécnico MIR (the girls’ school).

The Christmas story was narrated by senior students of the Fundación MIR. At the same time, the rest of the boys and girls dressed as angels, farmers, the Three Kings, Joseph, Mary, and many other characters – thrilled the audience with their impressive articulation and acting, complemented by dancing and the beautiful singing of the Fundación MIR choir (consisting of an older group of students), who throughout the story interpreted various holiday songs. Even our local donkey, Margarito, had a noteworthy part in the presentation!

Congratulations to all of the children who took part in this wonderful event, and many thanks to those involved in the organization!
