Casa de Campo Resort & Villas is set to host the second installment of its highly acclaimed Wine Tasting Series. Presented by American Express, this event promises a unique exploration of Old World versus New World wines under the expert guidance of certified sommelier Eduardo García.

Scheduled for June 21 and 22, 2024, at La Piazzetta in Altos de Chavón, the event invites guests to immerse themselves in a guided tasting experience that pits the finest wines of France against their counterparts from California. Eduardo García, renowned for his expertise certified by the Court of Master Sommeliers, will lead attendees through a curated selection, unveiling the nuances and complexities that distinguish these two prominent wine regions.

Chef Rodrigo Menéndez, the resort’s culinary director, will oversee the evening’s culinary component. He has designed a six-course menu that perfectly complements the wines, promising a sensory journey that enhances the tasting experience through a harmonious blend of flavors and textures.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition, which celebrated the wines of Burgundy, France, the Wine Tasting Series continues to set a benchmark for exclusive wine events in the Caribbean. The event, which took place on May 3 and 4, transported attendees into the heart of Burgundy’s wine country, offering a memorable exploration of terroirs, wineries, and history under the expert guidance of García.
