The charity we all love and are constantly in awe of their tremendous effort and achievements, Niños de Cristo Orphanage, is in need of some medicine and supplies this holiday season. Located right here in La Romana, they provide over 160 orphaned children daily with a home, healthcare, and education.
From their website, you’ll read that they offer on-site elementary, high school, and college/vocational studies to all children, and many sponsored children receive training in privately-run schools throughout La Romana. The Casa de Campo community recently shared a day of fun and games at Niños de Cristo Orphanage where boys received pizza and ice cream, and took part in sports and arts & crafts. It was such a magical day where it was apparent how appreciative the children are of our dedication and love.
As we head into the holiday season, we’re reminded of the spirit of giving, and how good it feels to give to those less fortunate than ourselves. About Niños de Cristo Orphanage
Orfanato Niños de Cristo is an orphanage located in the Dominican Republic that was founded in 1993. It houses more than 160 children who have been abandoned and/or victims of abuse, both from the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Orfanato Niños de Cristo is dedicated to improving the lives of the children, focusing on education, health and housing, as most of the children spend their entire childhood and young life in the orphanage. The orphanage has two housing facilities, a privately-run school and recreational areas.
