On Saturday June 2nd 2012, the “Polos Opuestos” Modelling Academy celebrated the first “Walkaway Queens” graduation ceremony in the Casa de Puerto Rico Club in La Romana, where 4 gorgeous young girls were recognized for their efforts and achievements!
The event that started at 8:00pm in the Casa de Puerto Rico’s main hall, received 4 graduating models and special guest models dressed in their best gowns to celebrate a spectacular graduation ceremony based on modeling and refinement techniques learnt at the “Polos Opuestos” Academy in La Romana. Along with the diplomas, a wonderful fashion show was celebrated where these different models, directed by Nelson Reynoso, showcased many beautiful dresses from local stores Pink and Sophia Novias.
Sharon Heere Marcelino, Nicols de Peña, Bietin Mariel Espinal and Stephanie Moya were the stars of the night – participating in this beautiful fashion show, as well as performing various dancing routines with live music – a spectacle produced and conducted by Hilda Peguero, popular personality of La Romana.
The event started with a welcome speech by Rhuanda Herrera, owner and founder of the Academy, together with her daughter, Jessika Santana, who also thanked the support of all sponsors, parents and the team that made this event possible. The graduation came to an end with the awards and distribution of diplomas of this graduating class, when Nicols de Peña was recognized as the outstanding student thanks to her discipline and transformation during her training at the Academy Polos.
Among the guests who attended the event were Alba Yris Rodríguez, one of the Dominican beauties who achieved a crown in worldwide beauty pageant as Miss Wonderland, Alba Marie Blair Rodríguez who won Miss Beautiful Face in 2011 and “Talento/Belleza Dominicana 2012”, as well as Dominique Blair Rodríguez who represented the Dominican Republic in the recent beauty contest Miss Petite Teen in Guatemala. Other guests were local Deputy, Pedro Botello and members of the T.V. show “Los Dueños del Circo”, among others.
