25th Caribbean Golf Classic to be played next week in Casa de Campo

The golf tournaments at Casa de Campo never stop! The 25th Caribbean Golf Classic will be played on all three of Casa de Campo’s prestigious golf courses; the Teeth of the Dog, the Dye Fore, and the Links net week from Tuesday, April 20th to Friday, April 24th.

The Caribbean Golf Classic started in 1996 and is a team event competed for by teams of unlimited number of players from each participating member country, playing eighteen holes each day. Players are divided into flights based upon handicap and gender and play Modified Stableford competition. The men’s teams will compete for the Robert Grell Trophy and the ladies for the Jodi Munn Barrow Trophy. The team with the most points wins the George Noon Trophy.

Golf is a game that lends itself to social distancing, but always remember that it is vital that everyone follows best practices when dealing with the current pandemic. For the reassurance of each of the visitors, Casa de Campo has made significant investments to prevent COVID-19 infections and implemented the “Casa Cares” program. The new protocol consists of specific health and wellness and safety standards that include concrete procedures to ensure that every corner of the resort is maintained with the highest standards of hygiene and precaution through the use of new disinfection methods and advanced technology in all areas.

Whilst in Casa de Campo the competitors of the tournament will be staying in Casa de Campo’s Superior Casita or Elite accommodations and as they are only playing 18 holes per day will have plenty of time for enjoying the Casa de Campo resort’s fabulous facilities and restaurants. To end the tournament the competitors and their guests will enjoy a and prize-giving ceremony and dinner on Friday evening.
