From Thursday, April 4, through Sunday, April 7, La Romana Country Club hosted the annual MIR Sugar Bazaar for Education, an event dedicated to raising funds for the Fundación MIR’s schools in La Romana. One of the highlights of this charitable affair was the Ladies Luncheon and Fashion Show, spearheaded by Mrs. Lian Fanjul, the founder of Fundación MIR, held on the afternoon of Saturday, April 6.

As the Sugar golf tournament golfers teed off on the lush greens, villa owners, friends, and families immersed themselves in a delightful shopping experience. From exquisite gifts to accessories, jewelry, and clothing, attendees were spoiled for choice.

On Saturday, the culinary delights served by La Romana Country Club added a savory touch to the occasion, complementing the fusion of shopping, gastronomy, and fashion.

The Ladies’ Luncheon treated guests to not one but two captivating fashion shows. The first featured young models from Casa de Campo’s families, elegantly adorned in the finely tailored creations of El Faldellin by Surelis. The spotlight then shifted to Versa Concept Store by Mariu Jones, a local initiative characterized by its emphasis on versatility and individuality. The designs, marked by graceful silhouettes and airy linen complemented by accessories from Sophie Paris and CR Designs and modeled by the Fundación MIR students, left a lasting impression on the audience, highlighting the brand’s commitment to celebrating women’s comfort and style.

The designer, Mariu Jones, joined all the models on stage to conclude the fashion show, creating a show-stopping moment that highlighted the creative brilliance behind Versa Concept Store’s offerings.

The 2024 edition of the MIR Bazaar and Ladies Luncheon surpassed expectations, leaving attendees eagerly anticipating next year’s festivities. Special thanks to our hostess and the Fundación MIR for organizing such a beautiful event!
