The fifth Marina Casa de Campo Open hosted by FlyZone Fishing is back and will be starting the third weekend of March. This fishing tournament is modeled off of Florida’s prestigious Reef Cup where Blue marlin, white marlin, sailfish and spearfish are eligible for catch and release.

The tournament is catch-and-release competition style with scores being kept by marked photographs of each days catches. Teams will receive wristbands as markers each day of the tournament. All billfish MUST be released to qualify!

The tournament will begin with the call of “lines in” at 8:00 a.m. on both fishing days and continue until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17 and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 18. All boats must be inside the marina before 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, and 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, as the committee, must have your catch affidavits and video by then. There are no lay days or weather days unless determined by the committee. Fish at your own risk. There are no boundaries.

After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic, last year’s event was a success crowning BLACKHAWK, a 76 Viking, as the winner of the 2022 Marina Casa de Campo Open. Teams enjoyed fishing during the day and celebrating during the evenings and this year is sure to be another great adventure you won’t want to miss out on!
