For all you fellow weather-watching fanatics (at this time of year if you live in Casa de Campo or the Dominican Republic – you should be!), I bring you good news! Tropical Depression 14 has now developed into Tropical Storm Maria as predicted, but she is no longer predicted to become a hurricane at all!
Of course as I have mentioned before predictions of ‘category’ are on AVERAGE up to 2 categories off…which means we should be keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Maria in case she decides to cause some trouble – but for now at least it looks like Tropical Storm Maria shouldn’t be causing us too many problems in the future! Hoooray!
TD 14 is currently located 1800 miles to the South-East of the Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic’s capital city.
TD 14 is moving at a speed at 23kph in a West-North-West direction
TD 14 currently has winds of 50mph
Tropical Storm Maria not predicted to become Hurricane Maria at all!
Tropical Storm Maria is predicted to track North of the Dominican Republic – however there is a small probability of a direct hit.
