We are now less than a month away from celebrating one of the most anticipated events of the summer, the Fundación MIR Family Weekend, which will take place across the resort Casa de Campo on Saturday, August 15th.
The Fundación MIR Family Weekend is a fundraising event which includes tennis and golf tournaments, as well as an awards dinner and after-party, all the profits go to the foundation who provides education and other basic necessities to children and families in need here in the Dominican Republic and more specifically in the local La Romana area.
On Saturday August 15th all the fun will begin at 9am with the tennis tournament at the La Terraza Tennis Center, later that same day competitions will move to the La Romana Country Club golf course for the golf tournament at 1pm.
Meanwhile the awards ceremony, as well as dinner and dance party at Minitas Beach, will start from 8pm. The dress code for this event is “Tropical Chic”. The night will come to a close with DJ Gringo from Miami who will have us all dancing the night away.

The Fundación MIR is a non-profit organization which works to provide education to the children of the greater La Romana area, who are most in need. They run 3 schools; the MIR Esperanza (boys vocational school), the Escuela Técnica Vocacional Fundación MIR (girls vocational school) and the Primaria MIR (infants school).
