From April 2 to 5, 2025, the Fanjul family hosted the 41st Annual Sugar Golf Tournament at Casa de Campo, welcoming more than 300 guest golfers from across the globe. For four days, players and their families enjoyed a blend of competition, camaraderie and Caribbean charm — a hallmark of this long-standing tradition.
Tee Time and Tournament Play
Guests arrived on Wednesday, greeted by sunshine and a packed schedule full of social gatherings. While players hit the fairways for practice rounds, families explored the resort’s many attractions.

Thursday brought more time on the course, as players fine-tuned their swings ahead of the main competition. The tournament rounds kicked off on Friday and continued through Saturday. The men took on the Romana Country Club and the Marina-New course, navigating tight fairways and championship-level greens. Meanwhile, the ladies competed on the scenic Dye Fore and the Links, proving their skill and style on the course.
Celebrating the Champions
As the final putts dropped, players traded scorecards for champagne glasses at the Saturday night dinner and dance party at La Romana Country Club. Trophies were awarded for both net and gross divisions, and the celebration carried on with music, dancing and well-earned toasts to another unforgettable year.
