Today June 22nd, from 7am, the 3rd Copa Marina de Guerra golf tournament is being played on the prestigious Dye Fore golf course in Casa de Campo, designed by the great Pete Dye. This tournament is hosted by the Dominican Navy (Marina de Guerra) and the Asociación de Esposas de Oficiales (officer’s wifes association), supported by the Dominican Federation of Golf (FEDOGOLF).
The tournament is as part of a program of activities being undertaken by Asociación de Esposas de Oficiales, in order to raise funds for the realization of social works for the benefit of the members of the institution and their families, with the support of the Dominican Navy.
The event will involve invited golfers, who in an environment of a sport harmony will compete for several awards in various categories. This tournament mode is “Best Ball Twosome”..Among the prizes will be a million pesos and a Mercedes Benz car.
Welcome Cocktail with all the participants
The welcome cocktail with all participants was onThursday night June 20th at the Club Naval belonging to the institution, located in Sans Souci, Santo Domingo. The hosts were Edwin Dominici Rafael Rosario, Chief of Staff of the Navy, and his distinguished wife, Mrs. Desiree Nunez de Dominici, also in attendance was Carlos Elmúdesi, Vice President of the Dominican Federation of Golf (FEDOGOLF) and various participating golfers and their partners.
