The 15th annual Hogar del Niño fundraising weekend event is now less than 2 weeks away! And with 5 sporting events and the evening dinner-dance celebration – there’s something for everyone to enjoy whilst helping this great cause!

This year, the 15th annual Hogar del Niño Fundraising event is taking place on Friday and Saturday the 17th and 18th of February and will undoubtedly be a fun-packed few days and here we bring you an overview of all the different events and activities:
The 15th annual Hogar del Niño Weekend: 17th – 18th of February
Hogar del Niño Tour Where: Departs from Casa de Campo by bus to the Hogar del Niño in La Romana town When: Friday 17th of February, 10am Click here for photos of last year’s tour!
Casa de Campo Homes and Gardens Tour Where: A tour around some of Casa de Campo’s most beautiful villas Cost: USD$50 When: Friday 17th of February, 2 – 6pm
Golf Tournament
Where: La Romana Country Club, Casa de Campo La Romana When: Saturday 18th of February, tee-off at 8am or 1:30pm

MTB Bike Marathon

Ball Drop A small helicopter hovers above the La Romana Country Club driving range and throws hundreds of numbered golf balls out of it’s door towards a hole…..the ball which lands in the hole is pronounced the winner! Last year’s Hogar del Niño weekend was legendary – most memorable for the addition of the Bike Marathon and by sightings of Pitbull (the famous rapper, singer, song-writer), who showed his support of the Hogar del Niño by attending the dinner-dance celebration! The Hogar del Niño
The Hogar del Niño is a children’s daycare and educational center for over 1500 children, located in La Romana town, just outside of Casa de Campo. Children from as young as just a few weeks old up to 18 years old are cared for and educated daily, from as early as 5:30am and staying as late as 7pm.
The organization also provides special schooling to over 75 hearing impaired and blind children, as well as a vocational school where over 235 students receive classes in different areas like: sewing; industrial preparation, installation and electrical maintenance; plumbing and management of computer office programs.
