Up until yesterday – nothing much was planned for Semana Santa in Casa de Campo (a very sad state of affairs indeed) – but now Sábado Santo is certainly starting to take shape, with a “Spring Break Party” planned to take place from 11pm in the Marina Casa de Campo.
For the last 3 years the annual and awesome Sábado Santo party was thrown by Praia at Minitas Beach – but will this year take place at the Marina Casa de Campo – in the space where “The Palapa” once stood! With DJ Obscene from Miami on the decks and an open bar to enjoy all night long – there can be no doubt that this party will be as good, if not better than the “Beach Parties” – let’s be honest we could neither see, feel or hear the ocean anyway – so whose going to notice a difference!?
Also joining DJ Obscene on the decks will be local DJs Beto Sánchez, Cesar Rodríguez and Gabriel Peralta.
Looks like Sábado Santo in Casa de Campo is sorted! It’s going to be a long day of partying… Palmillaso boat party first, followed by the champagne-fuelled finals of the Semana Santa polo tournament, then on to the “Mega Chavón” concert in the Altos de Chavón and then dance the night away at this “Spring Break Party” in the Marina Casa de Campo! It’s party time my friends!
On Saturday April 7th, known in the Dominican Republic as “Sábado Santo”, Casa de Campo villa owners, residents and international visitors partied in true style – bouncing from boat party at Palmilla to Polo party for the “Semana Santa” Polo Tournament to the Luis Fonsi concert in the Altos de Chavón amphitheater and finally to Minitas Beach to end the party with the sunrise!
On Saturday the 7th of April 2012, otherwise know as “Sábado Santo” a day when celebrations in the Dominican Republic rival those of New Year’s Eve, one of the many parties Casa de Campo villa owners and visitors were treated to was that of the “Semana Santa Polo Tournament”, celebrated in spectacular style at the Casa de Campo polo fields.
The Azimut Café in the Marina Casa de Campo celebrated on Saturday April the 7th 2012 (Sábado Santo) from 6:30pm to 10:00pm their first ““Atardecer de Aperitivos” – which has now evolved into the “Sunset Jazz Nights”. The next Sunset Jazz Night is planned for Thursday the 28th of March!
Luis Fonsi performed a wonderful repertoire of songs such as, “Tu Amor”,”Imagíname Sin Tí”, “Por Una Mujer”, “No me doy por vencido”, “Se Supone”, “Llueve por dentro”, among others.
