It’s all very hush hush….. but the rumors are that Pitbull, the famous Cuban American rapper, singer, songwriter and producer, is planning a concert to raise money for the Hogar del Niño’s “Sport and Cultural Project” – how exciting!
Over the last year, Pitbull has been spotted vacationing in Casa de Campo on numerous occasions and on several occasions has made an appearance in support of the Hogar del Niño. Pitbull first showed his support of the Hogar del Niño, when in December 2010 he made a surprise appearance at the Christmas Café de la Leche, hosted by Xiomara Menendez in her Casa de Campo villa (click here for photos.) Just a few months later, Pitbull than reappeared at the La Romana Country Club, at the dinner-dance celebration for the Hogar del Niño’s annual fundraising weekend (click here for photos.)
It is clear then from Pitbull’s actions that he is a big supporter and fan of the Hogar del Niño, a children’s day care center in the local town of La Romana. So, it certainly seems possible that Pitbull may well be so enamored with the Hogar del Niño’s plans to create a sports stadium and cultural performance center (the Sports and Cultural Project) – that he may just be planning a concert to raise the remaining 50% of funds needed to start the first phase of the project!
So where could such an event possibly take place? To be honest we have heard nothing at all about the venue (not even a whimsical rumor), however we put our thinking caps on and there is only 1 place Pitbull could possibly host a concert in Casa de Campo – the Altos de Chavón Amphitheater of course!!

Please remember that at this stage this is all just a wonderful rumor, but according to our source, this concert, which is said to be 100% Pitbull’s idea, may well be happening at some point within the next 2 months, we are predicting/hoping for March!!

Pitbull in Casa de Campo
Pitbull, who’s real name is Armando Christian Pérez was most recently spotted in Casa de Campo in December 2011, during the “holiday season”, when he was photographed relaxing on Minitas Beach, as well as at Onno’s Bar in Altos de Chavón hosting a party for his celebrity friends; Columbian actor, Manolo Cardona and Lazaro Mendez otherwise known as DJ Laz. During this visit to Casa de Campo he is also rumored to have spent time with famous salsero Marc Anthony, who visited the Orfanato Niños de Cristo in mid-December 2011, if Pitbull really is friends with Marc Anthony – could Marc Anthony also be involved in the concert? Just speculating……

Sports and culture activities promote basic values, such as: discipline, respect, objetive achievements, solidarity, integrity. The Sport and Cultural Project of the Hogar del Niño is a fantastic initiative, which through the construction of a sports stadium which will double as a cultural events auditorium, will provide the students of the Hogar del Niño and the community of La Romana with a safe place to enjoy sports and cultural pursuits (such as theatrical events).
The Hogar del Niño is a children’s daycare and educational center for over 1500 children, located in La Romana town, just outside of Casa de Campo. Children from as young as just a few weeks old up to 18 years old are cared for and educated daily, from as early as 5:30am and staying as late as 7pm.
The organization also provides special schooling to over 75 hearing impaired and blind children, as well as a vocational school where over 235 students receive classes in different areas like: sewing; industrial preparation, installation and electrical maintenance; plumbing and management of computer office programs.
