My wife Raisa and I received e-mails in which Alfy and Raysa Fanjul invited us to the opening party of Quality Meats restaurant in Miami Beach in aid of the Fundación MIR, on February 26th.
As we would be in Miami for that date, we decided to give our support to the event in order to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Fundación MIR helping the children of the Dominican Republic.
It was a fabulous night in which the Fanjul family made every guest feel wonderfully welcome and especially us as Dominicans, as they always do in all the MIR activities.
We were very pleased to see how Raysa Fanjul and Lian Fanjul de Azqueta presented the important work of the Fundación MIR in the Dominican Republic, caring for the neediest children and encouraged those present to help their cause.
In addition to this, the Quality Meats restaurant, very famous in the New York city, opened in Miami Beach in one of the most central places of the beach, in the 1501 Collins Avenue, at the corner of the 15th Street. Those attending the event had the opportunity to taste the dishes and they were divine!
We hope these kind of activities continue to be held in Miami, as the participants felt strongly identified with the help provided by the Fundación MIR to the Dominican children.
