Fogo Do Brazil, a new Brazilian restaurant, has just opened in the Marina Casa de Campo!
Located in the small plaza in the space formally occupied by Italian restaurant, Mistral, and before that Naked Fish, Fogo Do Brazil, is already open and doing well.
The owner of Fogo Do Brazil is Mario, a familiar face in the Casa de Campo community – most well-known for being the owner of the Río Marina Italian restaurant, which was located at the entrance to the Marina Casa de Campo. With more than 15 years experience in the restaurant business, Mario told Casa de Campo Living that he decided to do a Brazilian restaurant because it is “something different.” However, as an Italian himself, he decided to also offer Italian food – so the menu will have both Italian and Brazilian options.
We say “will have” because currently Fogo Do Brazil is not yet serving it’s Brazilian menu – as the special Brazilian grill is being installed this week, and so the new Brazilian menu should be starting from this Wednesday. As soon as that is confirmed we will let you know!
For now, Fogo Do Brazil is open every day from 10am serving Dominican ‘meal of the day’ (rice, beans, meat and salad for example) for just RD$150 at lunchtimes and in the evenings the Italian menu with risotto, pasta and other specialities is available.
While we can’t wait to see the new Brazilian menu once it’s ready – we’re also excited for… dancing! Remember Salsa Fridays at Rio Marina? Well Mario already has plans to do something similar at Fogo Do Brazil – so let’s keep our fingers crossed that we’ll soon have somewhere new to dance in the Marina Casa de Campo!
