On the 3rd, 4th and 5th of August, the Dominican National Ballet’s “Proyecto de Danza Contemporáneo” (Contemporary Dance Project), will be performing a short excerpt of the play “Las medidas de la brisa” (the measures of the breeze) in Santo Domingo, showcasing some wonderful costumes designed by prominent Dominican fashion designer and loved member of the Casa de Campo community, Jenny Polanco, with live music performed by Dominican singer, Janio Lora – and YOU are invited to enjoy the spectacle!
Thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of many of the most important Dominican artists, such as Jenny Polanco and Janio Lora, the event will take place during the first weekend of August at the Palace of Fine Arts (Palacio de Bellas Artes) in Santo Domingo, where many art and music lovers will be able to enjoy part of Marianela Boán’s play interpreted by seven Dominican dancers, during which will be displayed some of the most spectacular costumes by Dominican designer, Jenny Polanco.
The costumes, according to the organizers of this promising musical play, will bring to life the different “measurments” of the breeze – designs that will complement the musical production by Janio Lora, who, besides participating in the scene, is also responsible for the creation of the title track of the play.
“Through movement, voice, streaming video and live music, a musician and seven dancers will explore the tension between air and suffocation, everyday obstacles and the creative impulses that lead us to discover the breeze of the body when it’s not blowing outside. “

The event will be divided into two parts; the first one will include the 30 minute play, followed by a 15 minute interval and the second one; a concert by Janio Lora.
