In a crescendo of pulsating rhythms and captivating melodies, Casa de Campo Resort hosted a sensational evening on December 29, headlined by superstar music producer Marshmello and the renowned Dominican Merenhouse group Ilegales.

Orchestrated by promoter and entrepreneur Gamal Haché, this event marked the year’s final concert at Altos de Chavón, becoming the biggest dancefloor in the Caribbean and promising an unparalleled entertainment extravaganza. Attendees were treated to an unforgettable experience, immersed in a night of sheer musical delight.

The eagerly awaited night drew in locals and international visitors, all congregating to revel in the electrifying atmosphere. The night started with a Dominican DJ skillfully entertaining the audience as anticipation mounted for the main acts.

Following the DJ, a towering astronaut figure graced the stage, accompanied by a colossal screen broadcasting the group’s radio communication—a deliberate nod to their mission: to embark on a nostalgic journey through hits that had defined a generation. Tracks like “Taqui Taqui,” “Fiesta Caliente,” and “La Morena” filled the air, resonating with the crowd.

Celebrating a remarkable 30-year career milestone with this concert, the Dominican sensation, Ilegales set the stage ablaze. Their performance exuded an electrifying, joyous, and dance-infused vibe, proving the enduring allure of their classics. The group also transported the audience back to the ’90s with iconic tunes like Proyecto Uno’s “El Tiburón,” Sandy y Papo’s “Es Hora de Bailar,” and “The Rhythm of the Night,” ensuring a continuous sway of dancing and singing among the crowd.

As the night neared its climax, Marshmello took the extended dance floor by storm. With an infectious energy, he had the audience jumping and singing along to his incredible mixes and original tracks, including collaborations like “El Merengue” with Colombian artist Manuel Turizo, “Harley Quinn” featuring Fuerza Regida, “Happier” with Bastille, “Alone,” and many more.

The ambiance crackled with energy, a potent mix of electronic beats, merengue, and urban rhythms, captivating the attendees.
